The House chaos continues with the ouster of Speaker McCarthy and the House yet to elect a new Speaker things in the House are stalled.  While their is an interim Speaker no official business can be conducted until a new Speaker is elected.  There has been talk about providing the interim speaker with additional power but constitutional questions that have been raised. Mortgage rates have eclipsed 8% with some economists projecting mortgage rates peaking at 10%.  All eyes will be on the Federal Reserve later this month as to the direction of rates.  With the Federal Reserve commenting rates would remain elevated for an extended period of time rates could stay elevated.  The Fed will also be keeping an eye on oil prices as we have seen a significant rise over the past couple of weeks and the potential inflationary impacts.  There is also concerns that there could be a larger Geopolitical Conflict.  We wanted to share our weekly roundup of articles that can benefit or impact your planning outcomes.  If you have questions or concerns, please use the link below to schedule a time for a conversation.  Please also feel free to forward to anyone you believe might benefit.
